Behind the Scenes of My Home Page
Our founders, under the leadership of our first Principal, envisioned a School that would represent, at its heart, creativity, independence and fundamentally progressive educational practice. Langa High is a School that will provide young people with a foundation of academic rigour and the capacity to question, deliberate, debate and engage, thoughtfully, with the complexity of their futures. We are unashamedly future-orientated and, at the same time, we commit to privileging values that we believe will equip the young people in our care with the confidence to become happy and productive adults. We view our size as a significant strength and commit to developing strong working relationships with our parents and with each of our students. Staff, Parents' and Students' Forums are powerful bodies at Langa high school, each of which will play an important role in our School's future directions.
As an public School and as a committed member of the public Schools' Association of South Africa, we undertake to use our independence to privilege not only curricular innovation but also to design a School that will move into the future successfully and thoughtfully. As an public School, we are excited about exercising our freedom and flexibility to choose, to delve and to create.
We are a unique school and believe that we are powerfully placed to provide 21st century young South Africans with an exceptional education.
